My Story

Introducing Isla!!

Female DOB: Jan 2024 (Estimated)

Meet Isla, the adorable and affectionate cat who has captured the hearts of everyone around her. This charming feline has a delightful habit of following her favorite human from room to room, always eager to be near them, creating a bond that is both heartwarming and special. Her gentle presence adds a comforting touch to any household, making her a wonderful companion.

With her striking white-and-black fur, Isla is not only a visual delight but also a dog who craves attention and affection. Her coat glistens in the light, showcasing her beautiful markings, and her expressive eyes reflect her curiosity and intelligence. Isla's playful nature shines through as she engages with her surroundings, bringing joy to those who take the time to appreciate her unique charm.

Isla is a sweet young mom, estimated to be around 2 years old, who has bravely raised several litters while living outdoors. Her journey took a significant turn when she was rescued along with her last litter of six kittens, who were found living under a deck. This harrowing experience only adds to her resilience and strength as a mother. Thankfully, all of her kittens were adopted into loving homes after a nurturing foster period, allowing them to thrive and begin their own adventures.

Since her rescue, Isla has remained with her foster family, where she is doing remarkably well. Currently, she has her own room with an enclosure that provides her with a safe, comfortable space. Here, she enjoys coming out to play with an assortment of toys that keep her entertained for hours, or she can often be found watching cat TV, a favourite pastime that allows her to observe the outside world from the safety of her home. While she may still be hesitant to be held and often backs away from pets, it is clear that with persistence and patience from her future owner, she will gradually learn to trust and form a deeper bond. One of her favourite activities is receiving chin scratches, especially when they come from her beloved scratcher! Additionally, she finds great joy in using scratch pads, which help her stay active and engaged.

In her foster home, Isla has developed a delightful friendship with the resident cat, who enjoys curling up beside her enclosure. Together, they share quiet moments watching TV, creating a serene atmosphere that exemplifies the comfort of companionship. Given Isla's temperament, she would thrive in a quiet home environment without dogs or young children. However, she may benefit from having another friendly, young cat to help her feel more secure and confident. Isla has a healthy appetite and is quite vocal at mealtimes, meowing eagerly to remind her humans when it's breakfast or dinner, showcasing her playful and engaging personality.

Meet-and-greets with Isla are an option for serious inquiries, allowing potential adopters to get to know her better in a relaxed setting. It is essential that her new family has experience with cats and is prepared to offer the patience and understanding she needs as she continues to adjust to her new life. Isla has a special fondness for her hammock, where she spends time either napping peacefully or gazing out the window, soaking in the sights and sounds of the world outside. This serene spot is a favourite retreat for her, offering a perfect vantage point to observe her surroundings while feeling safe and cozy.
