My Story

Female | DOB: June 2026 (Estimated)

This kitten will be available to be adopted now and taken home on Oct 15. You must submit an online application on our website, and a deposit of $200 will be accepted to reserve this kitten.

Casey is a young female kitten, adding an element of intrigue to her already charming personality. She is a delightful brown and white tabby, characterized by her striking coat that features a rich blend of warm browns and soft whites. A notable feature is the distinct patch of brown that adorns the crown of her nose, giving her a unique and endearing appearance that sets her apart from other kittens. Despite her adorable looks, Casey exhibits signs of being very scared and nervous in her new environment. This timid nature becomes particularly evident when she is approached; she often reacts by jumping into her cage, seeking the safety and security that it provides. This behavior is common among young animals who may be experiencing the stress of a new and unfamiliar situation. Casey was brought into the shelter alongside her mother and two siblings, which suggests that she has had some level of social interaction with her family. However, the sudden change in her surroundings may have contributed to her anxious demeanor. The presence of her mother and siblings likely provides her with some comfort, but it is clear that Casey will need time and gentle encouragement to build her confidence and feel safe in her new surroundings.

Adoption Requirements

It is essential for Casey to be adopted alongside another kitten from our rescue or, alternatively, into a home that already has another cat under the age of five. We place a high priority on ensuring that our kittens are not adopted individually, as this can lead to feelings of loneliness and anxiety. Kittens are social creatures by nature, and when they are adopted in pairs, they benefit immensely from developing vital social skills that will serve them well throughout their lives. They keep each other entertained, which helps reduce the likelihood of unwanted behaviors like biting and scratching, as they have a playmate to engage with. The companionship they provide each other contributes significantly to their overall happiness and well-being.

Furthermore, if you already have an older cat at home, bringing in two kittens can help maintain a harmonious environment, as they can bond and interact in a way that eases the transition for everyone involved. This social interaction is crucial in helping them learn appropriate behaviors and creating a balanced dynamic within the household. By fostering these relationships, we ensure that Casey and her future companion will thrive in their new environment, filled with love and play.
