My Story

Male | DOB: Aug 2026 (Estimated)

Currently in foster care. Appointment only.

Meet Hairy Potter, an adorable male kitten full of energy and curiosity. This charming feline features a vibrant tabby coat that gleams beautifully in the light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. His fur is fluffy and incredibly soft, inviting anyone who meets Hairy to give him a gentle pet. Hairy arrived at the rescue on Oct 13 with four other littermates, each with unique personalities, but he stands out with his delightful character.

He has a distinctive white spot marking on his back.

Upon arriving at the shelter, this confident kitten began gradually adjusting to his new surroundings. Never shy, Hairy displays curiosity and a playful spirit as he approaches new experiences. You can often find Hairy exploring his environment, taking in the various sights and sounds, and engaging with toys or other kittens.

Despite being part of a lively group, Hairy doesn't need socialization to gain confidence because he feels comfortable in any setting. With proper care and patience, this gentle kitten has the potential to become a loving companion. Since his arrival at the shelter, Hairy has received essential medical attention and vaccinations, paving the way for a healthy future. Each day, he is learning to trust and adapt, eagerly awaiting a forever home where he can enjoy the love and attention he deserves.

In a new home, Hairy is likely to continue displaying his playful personality, bringing joy and laughter to his family. Whether chasing a feather toy or snuggling in a sunny spot for a nap, Hairy's presence is sure to brighten anyone's day. As time goes on, Hairy will develop his own unique quirks and habits, becoming an even more cherished companion. The journey ahead for this little orange-coated kitten is filled with endless possibilities, and his future shines as brightly as his lively spirit.

Adoption Requirements

It is essential for Hairy to be adopted alongside another kitten from our rescue or, alternatively, into a home that already has another cat under the age of five. We place a high priority on ensuring that our kittens are not adopted individually, as this can lead to feelings of loneliness and anxiety. Kittens are social creatures by nature, and when adopted in pairs, they benefit immensely from developing vital social skills that will serve them well throughout their lives. They keep each other entertained, which helps reduce the likelihood of unwanted behaviors like biting and scratching, as they have a playmate to engage with. The companionship they provide each other contributes significantly to their overall happiness and well-being.

Furthermore, if you already have an older cat at home, bringing in two kittens can help maintain a harmonious environment, as they can bond and interact in a way that eases the transition for everyone involved. This social interaction is crucial in helping them learn appropriate behaviors and creating a balanced dynamic within the household. By fostering these relationships, we ensure that Hairy and a future companion will thrive in their new environment, filled with love and play.

The Benefits of Adoption

  1. Saving Lives: Every adoption saves a life. By adopting, you are helping reduce the number of homeless animals.

  2. Companionship: Pets provide unconditional love and companionship. They are always there to greet you with a wagging tail or a gentle purr.

  3. Health Benefits: Studies show that having a pet can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and improve overall mental health.

  4. Joy and Laughter: Pets have a unique way of bringing joy and laughter into our lives. Their playful antics and loving nature can brighten even the darkest days.

How to Prepare for Adoption

Adopting a pet is a big commitment. Here are some tips to help you prepare:

  1. Research: Understand the needs of the breed or species you wish to adopt. Each pet has unique requirements.

  2. Home Setup: Create a safe and welcoming environment for your new furry friend. Remove any hazards and set up a cozy space for them.

  3. Supplies: Gather all necessary items, including food, litter, toys, and a comfortable bed.

  4. Time and Patience: Be prepared to invest time and patience in your new relationship. Building trust takes time, but the rewards are immeasurable.
