My Story
FEMALE | DOB: JULY 2026 (Estimated)
This kitten will be available to be adopted now and taken home on Oct 15. You must submit an online application on our website, and a deposit of $200 will be accepted to reserve this kitten.
Pero is a charming female brown tabby kitten, characterized by her striking coat that features a beautiful blend of deep browns and subtle golden hues, creating a mesmerizing pattern that is typical of tabby cats. She was brought into the shelter alongside five other playful kittens, each one bursting with energy and curiosity about their new surroundings. The group was rescued from an uncertain situation, and the staff at the shelter immediately recognized their need for a safe and loving environment.
Pero, being the most adventurous of the bunch, often leads her siblings on playful escapades around their temporary home. Her inquisitive nature makes her the first to explore new toys and climb to the highest perches available in their play area. Despite her playful demeanor, Pero also has a gentle side; she enjoys curling up next to her siblings during nap time, purring softly as they all drift off to sleep. The bond she shares with her fellow kittens is evident, as they often groom each other and playfully chase one another in a flurry of paws and tails.
As a brown tabby, Pero exhibits the classic traits associated with her breed. She is intelligent and quick to learn, often responding to her name and showing an eagerness to engage with both her human caretakers and her fellow kittens. The shelter staff are hopeful that she, along with her siblings, will soon find a forever home where she can continue to grow and thrive, bringing joy and companionship to her new family.
Adoption Requirements
It is essential for Pero to be adopted alongside another kitten from our rescue or, alternatively, into a home that already has another cat under the age of five. We place a high priority on ensuring that our kittens are not adopted individually, as this can lead to feelings of loneliness and anxiety. Kittens are social creatures by nature, and when they are adopted in pairs, they benefit immensely from developing vital social skills that will serve them well throughout their lives. They keep each other entertained, which helps reduce the likelihood of unwanted behaviors like biting and scratching, as they have a playmate to engage with. The companionship they provide each other contributes significantly to their overall happiness and well-being.
Furthermore, if you already have an older cat at home, bringing in two kittens can help maintain a harmonious environment, as they can bond and interact in a way that eases the transition for everyone involved. This social interaction is crucial in helping them learn appropriate behaviors and creating a balanced dynamic within the household. By fostering these relationships, we ensure that Pero and her future companion will thrive in their new environment, filled with love and play.
