My Story
Male | DOB: April 25, 2026
Edgar is one of the delightful 17 kittens currently residing at our rescue, each with their own unique personality and charm. He hails from a lively litter of five kittens and has been nurtured with love and care by one of our dedicated foster volunteers. For the past two months, Edgar has enjoyed the warmth and safety of being with his mother and siblings, who have provided him with a nurturing environment. This little bundle of joy was born right here at our rescue, where we first encountered his mother when she was pregnant, highlighting the importance of our work in providing shelter and care for animals in need.
Edgar is characterized by his sweet and affectionate nature, which draws everyone in. He has a playful spirit and often attempts to communicate with those around him, though his little meows may not always convey his thoughts clearly—it's quite endearing, and it often brings a smile to our faces. He is typically one of the first kittens to rush to the crate door to greet visitors, often accompanied by his playful sibling, Sophie (who has been adopted), creating a heartwarming scene that showcases their close bond.
This charming kitten is looking for a forever home where he can either be adopted alongside another kitten from our rescue or into a household that already has a friendly cat under the age of five. We firmly believe in the importance of never adopting out kittens as solo pets. Pairing kittens together is crucial for their development, as it helps them cultivate essential social skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. By having a playmate, they remain engaged and entertained, which significantly reduces the likelihood of developing unwanted behaviors such as biting or scratching out of boredom. Additionally, having a companion provides them with emotional support, ensuring they are happier and healthier pets overall. For families with an older cat, bringing home two kittens can also promote a sense of balance and harmony, as the older cat can help guide the younger ones in their social interactions.
As for Edgar's health, he has already received his first vaccination, which is a crucial step in ensuring his well-being as he grows. He is scheduled to be neutered at the end of July, which is included in the adoption process. The adoption fee covers all necessary vaccinations, the neutering/spaying procedure, wellness checks by our veterinary team, and a microchip for identification purposes. We strive to make the adoption process as comprehensive and supportive as possible, ensuring that each kitten is ready to transition to their new home with everything they need for a healthy start.
